Global Toolbox Day Is June 16

These in-depth sessions are just the tools you may need!

You may be familiar with previous LocWorld preconference days, where we offer special sessions for attendees who are already in town for the conference. We are doing the same thing for LocWorldWide44, but there is no reason to have these all occur on the day before LocWorldWide. In fact, it’s probably not convenient to ask people to set aside another consecutive day while they are trying to maintain their daily workload.

Enter the LocWorldWide44 Global Toolbox Day on Wednesday, June 16, round tables and workshops for you to hone your skills and gain knowledge to advance yourself and your company.

  • The Enterprise Terminology Challenge: Join us for four highly-interactive workshop hours with four amazing, real-life terminology professionals from Liebherr, KTM Sport Motorcycle, Philips Medical, and Sandvik. We will mix high-level input from practitioners in the field with best practices of two terminology consultants and top it off with your own experiences, questions, and challenges: How do you get your boss and your colleagues excited about terminology? How do you establish effective and efficient workflows which still offer clear accountabilities for terminology decisions? How do you get terminology at the fingertips of diverse users, ranging from authors and marketeers, to translators, and also to engineers and developers? And how do you benefit from new use cases such as ontologies, SEO, or AI? Presenters: Sabrina Neudorfer – KTM AG, Markus Umundum – Sandvik Mining and Conabrinruction, Moderators: Klaus Fleischmann, Rike Kempkens.
