During this panel discussion, we will highlight how a large language services buyer benefited from its collaboration with vendors to make an impactful transformation project come true in a short amount of time. The black box partnership model between a client and its vendor allows for both to focus on truly added-value tasks. Process automation, the use of neural machine translation, and a laser-sharp focus on what the end users need to make their project managers manage by exception, becoming translation controllers. Add to that the shift from the “commoditization” of translated words to the “uberization” of the translators’ time, and the black box is complete.

Takeaways: Attendees will learn how a big transformation project — the move from a language-centric to a content-centric model — was put into place in a short amount of time; understand how the collaboration between a large translation services buyer and its sole vendor can work seamlessly; and receive insights into how to step away from the price per word model.
