Adapting a new quality model to assess your translated content is quite a challenge. Things may get even more complicated if your company partners with more than one language service provider (LSP) and different quality assessment standards are used. This is exactly what one company had to face on its way to the TAUS quality model for its vendors’ monthly localization quality assurances (LQAs). In this presentation we will share an experience in adaptation of error typology, error severity and reporting dashboard as well as alignment of metrics between the vendors and with other quality assessment activities such as third-party language quality audit.
Takeaways: The attendees will learn about an experience in selecting and adapting an LQA model for its vendors’ self-assessment; balancing the model adaptation in multivendor setup; and aligning the new model with the previously used reporting standards.
