Agile development and release cycles raise the need for agile localization. Well-oiled organizations take into account the expertise and responsibilities of all parties, however, coming to such agreements is hard, especially if your stakeholders include external language service providers (LSPs). In this presentation, we aim to provide recipes for the design of an agile quick time-to-market localization workflow. We will also address the roles and responsibilities of developers, content authors, localization departments and LSPs in an agile organization. Finally, it highlights the competencies to be developed, the scheduling requirements and the required cross-functional agreements in an organization among developers, project management, technology, training and legal perspectives.
Takeaways: Attendees will get practical advice on speeding up time-to-market in an agile localization framework; an insight for LSPs into the problems localization departments face; and a comprehensive checklist for onboarding an LSP.
