Quality translation – two words that summarize our goal as an industry. Despite being so impactful, the definition of quality is not straightforward and not easily captured as universal metrics and goals. With AI changing the landscape of our daily work, the definition of quality could change with it. In this panel, we’ll explore how and if the definition of quality has changed as AI becomes ubiquitous in the translation industry. We will talk with industry leaders about what it means to promise quality translations to consumers, what KPIs to rely on in the age of AI, and whether what really matters is objective linguistic quality or the impact on and engagement from users.
Key Takeaways:
- How AI has changed the way people are defining translation quality
- Common KPIs for quality and the pros and cons of each
- The difference in expectations of localization experts vs. that of end users
