TA1: How AI Is Revolutionizing Multilingual Customer Chats and Real Time Conversations

Fewer than five percent of the world’s population speaks English as a first language, yet global businesses continue using traditional machine translation to communicate with their customers. However, only Language I/O’s proprietary machine translation technology can accurately translate messy user generated content (UGC) such as chats, forum posts, and other real-time content that includes jargon, acronyms, and misspellings. Experts in the machine learning and gaming industries will use the “User-Generated Content for Player Support in the Gaming Industry” study to explain how AI is paving the way for human quality UGC translations.

Takeaways: Attendees will learn what triggers machine translation engines to miss critical communications from customer-generated content and how to use AI to prevent awkward or nonsensical translations. They will also learn how neural machine translation engines can be coupled with specific technology to understand and correctly translate UGC type content.
