Dave Bryant - Dotsub

A major player in the high-tech world holds an important conference every year to provide education on products, to announce new features and initiatives, to provide an insight into the company and, perhaps, have an inspirational keynote from a celebrity. Thousands of people from all over the world came to the conference. Then Covid-19 struck. Dotsub won the privilege of translating the entire conference. We worked with the company’s localization department to provide captions and translations in four languages for about 12,000 minutes of video in 2.5 months. Hear about it — the good, the bad and the ugly.

Takeaways: Attendees will learn how to manage the work and the client; what things we would do differently; and how to win large bids and to do it well enough to get asked to do it again.
