The localization industry is entering a new era! With all the new technological developments, new opportunities are unlocked, and localization is pivoting from stakeholder to driver of innovation and changes. In each company a complex web of platforms, connectors, and assets are taking our industry in a new direction: language as product. As a result, new responsibilities, and ways of working and collaborating with both internal customers and external vendors are transforming the way we work and think about language capabilities. Localization teams are being reorganized into product management and must rethink how they work and drive changes. We will review how this can be implemented by discussing past use cases, including our experience in expanding the collaboration between the localization teams at Gap and ServiceNow and how this directly benefited the teams and offered great outcomes. Benefits include faster implementation; company-wide visibility on the role and importance of localization; getting to value faster, speeding up global deployment and user acceptance; elevating user experience as a team; localization as a product; new ways of collaborating to create opportunities for growth and reshape the localization roles within companies.
We will discuss: What does it mean to have language as a product? Why are we pivoting in this direction? How do you work and collaborate with a vendor’s localization team? What are the benefits to the buyer? What do you want a vendor to deliver? How do you want a vendor to partner with you? How is the change taking place within companies? What makes strategic globalization an accelerator for profitability and value add for product offerings?
Takeaways: Attendees will learn how to develop a collaborative approach between localization teams across industries to optimize processes, efficiency and elevate the customer experience.
