We all face quality issues that are inherent to localization work. From terminology maintenance to coherent style applied throughout a localized product, assuring timely delivery with consistent style is an everyday challenge. Seeking to provide a solution to our clients, we’ve implemented a strategic program to join linguists and management in a common effort for quality assurance. Experienced linguists were selected to act as language evangelists who work to bridge the knowledge gap between vendors, translation teams and local stakeholders. This strategy has achieved expected results in over 20 languages and, even more, provided valuable insights that we wish to explain during this case study session.
Takeaways: How to bring together disparate teams — localization quality assurance vendor, product localization vendor, marketing localization vendor, local market stakeholders — to ensure a consistent experience to users of localized products; how to bring local sales and marketing stakeholders into the localization process; and how to implement a truly agile experience into localization processes by evangelizing agile values of transparency, flexibility and collaboration.
