The development of the CLDR (Common Locale Data Repository) library and keyboard functionality for the Android platform is of paramount importance, especially in the context of preserving and supporting endangered indigenous languages. This endeavor entails the creation of a CLDR library tailored to these languages, encompassing detailed locale data that accounts for linguistic structures, characters, and regional variations. Concurrently, the design and implementation of a specialized keyboard ensures a user-friendly interface for inputting text in these languages, thereby facilitating communication and content creation. By integrating support for endangered indigenous languages into CLDR library, utilizing UNICODE standards, and keyboard development, the mobile platform not only fosters linguistic diversity but also assumes a crucial role in safeguarding and revitalizing these linguistic treasures for posterity. This presentation discusses the technical challenges and considerations for revitalizing endangered indigenous languages in the mobile platform.
