Nowadays, every industry has several regulations and quality control standards that regulate the processes that companies must follow to control the final quality of their products and services in their specific field. However, these processes are often disconnected from the localization department of these same companies, as the existing linguistic quality assurance (LQA) processes are not adapted to their specific needs. In this presentation, we will give an overview of the current trends and practices observed through an empiric study in the form of semi-structured interviews to several subject matter experts working in the field.

Takeaways: Attendees will get an overview of current practices and methodologies in LQA observed in different multilingual corporations; practical analysis of the current trends that will shape the future of LQA processes; and a summary of pain points and challenges in LQA processes.
