We often talk about large and growing localization operations. But in many companies, there are localization teams composed of just one person. And that person may often be a woman. In this panel, three such one-person woman managers of localization teams will share their personal stories. They’ll discuss how and why they assumed these roles, how they work to expand their sphere of influence, and what career progression options they envision. The panelists will also share their views on the necessary soft and hard skills, the challenges they encounter, and whether, as women, they bring specific perspectives and business approaches to managing localization operations that contribute to their success.
Takeaways:
- What it takes to be a one-person woman manager of localization teams;
- How to succeed and grow in this role, and what success stories or role models exist;
- Is there anything in particular that helps woman managers overcome the many challenges such roles bring?
