Are free-form jazz file formats mucking up your software localization efforts? It’s pretty crazy that a missing curly bracket can cause such trouble for translators, localization managers, and developers alike. In this session, we’ll cover and give examples of various issues that can be transformed and managed. We will demonstrate automated checks and how to work gracefully between all parties, without breaking files or slowing down translation automation. Understanding file issues along with solutions will let you help translators get their work done and avoid bugs and file fire drills for developers and localization engineers.

Takeaways: Attendees will get an understanding of the issues and checks to prevent broken files coming from and back into source code repositories; transforming formats so they can be efficiently addressed by translator systems and translators; and avoiding delays caused by necessary human massaging of files
