With accelerating growth in the Southeast Asia region come additional requests for direct translation from Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean (CCJK). In this presentation we will focus on related issues such as when it is a good idea to translate directly from CCJK and when it would be better to use a pivot language. What to do when translating to languages for which resources are scarce? What are the commonly used word calculations for Chinese? Presenters from both the buy and supply side will present case studies debating the pros and cons of different approaches to CCJK translation.
