Creating a software platform is the ultimate growth strategy for many organizations. In this session, we will address the opportunities and practical challenges of adding international aspects to platforms. This includes implementing language as a feature at the platform level, so all users can benefit from direct access to multilingual content automatically and without any extra friction. But it also means the ability to customize their platforms, allowing users to offer and buy products or services globally with native experience or offering developer communities tools for creating applications and expanding the platform features. We will also discuss positioning localization teams internally as essential for a platform’s international success and how to build the business case for that.
Takeaways: Attendees will learn how platform localization differs from standard product localization; and how some leading organizations are getting this right.
