Many companies realize they need a localization manager only after they start localization. The upside of joining a company at such a time is that you can set up the localization department as you wish. The downside is that you inherit a program with shaky foundations at best and need to navigate the process of revamping it while maintaining a stable speed of localization. In this session, we will walk through how to navigate change management, specifically in relation to suppliers, tools, reference materials, and teams. Attendees will learn to be calm and collected while simultaneously maintaining the overall trust of your stakeholders.
Takeaways: Attendees will learn how to pinpoint critical program changes and get stakeholder buy in; how to introduce substantial changes to an already running localization program; and how to manage stakeholders’ expectations in the process of introducing change.
