OpenTable is on a journey to place localization at the heart of new product development. This began with laying the groundwork that enables stakeholders and executives — who may not be familiar with the concepts — to understand the role of localization in a broader business strategy. A localization manager must define and implement the appropriate internal processes, they must evangelize on behalf of the localization function and they must choose the right partners (both tools and services) to support their efforts. In this presentation, we will discuss key challenges, successes and lessons learned in the journey so far.
