Despite the obvious need for increased partnerships, negative stereotypes about buyers (from vendors) and vendors (from buyers) persist. This no-holds-barred session directly addresses some of these age-old challenges and how to overcome them. Both vendors and buyers are encouraged to bring an open mind to this session. Topics include: The buyer’s role in establishing true partnership; what is a vendor’s job (and why aren’t buyers letting them do it); parent/child or adult/adult; the lack of correlation between a company’s success and vendor/buyer IQ; penalties and partnership; and the need to define partnership quality. Attendees can expect their current thinking to be challenged (or, at least, publicly articulated) and to pick up a tip or two on how to build (or repair) these critical partnerships.
