With some of the fastest growing economies, Africa is poised for innovation and entrepreneurship. Despite this rosy outlook, equal opportunities are not always afforded to women entrepreneurs. In this panel discussion, attendees will hear the stories of women who have built successful businesses, startups, and technology hubs that aim to solve regional economic and social issues. The women on this panel have been instrumental in initiatives and nongovernmental organizations that support, mentor, and train youth and women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to be the future business leaders and innovators within their communities.

Takeaways: Attendees will learn how countries in Sub-Saharan Africa are using edutech and innovation hubs to train youth and women to fill jobs in the growing digital economies. The panelists will touch on information communication technology policy-making strategies across the continent and how a diversity, equity, and inclusion agenda seeks to address the digital divide through inclusive technology.
