Rahel Anne Bailie - Content, Seriously
Host: Scott Abel

Charity begins at home, as the English idiom goes, and so does translation. One should have charitable practices in one’s own home before worrying about providing charity to others. Likewise, good translation practices don’t start at the translation level, they start in the source language. You need to have good content practices beginning with the source language before you can consistently get good translations on a scalable level. In this presentation, we will discuss some real-world examples and show how to employ techniques from the disciplines of intelligent content, single-sourcing, content management and technical communication to different types of content — both text-based content, such as product content and content hubs, and visual content such as images and video.
