ASICS localization is performed by a team of translators who are aided by a shared neural machine translation system provided by Lilt This system automatically learns and improves in real time from every translation produced by any of the linguists on the localization team. Unlike post-editing a static machine translation system, which degrades quality and frustrates translators, this new interactive and adaptive approach to assisting linguists has led to fewer quality problems, higher consistency across projects, the fastest delivery times in ASICS localization history and substantially reduced costs.

Takeaways: Attendees will learn about a workflow of using interactive and adaptive neural machine translation for top-value published content that is now highly automated; requires no more technical effort than maintaining a translation memory and term base; and achieves high translation consistency and quality. The researchers will explain the benefits of augmented translator technology in terms that everyone involved in localization can understand.
