We have developed a workflow for selective retranslation based on the evaluation of metrics related to the source content. We exercise 100% machine translation of all content to satisfy the requirements of sim-release and prioritize 30% for higher quality retranslation. Independent of locale or ROI, metrics determine what high-value content should be retranslated by humans and tested end-to-end. With improvement of the international customer experience in mind, we will explain the details of how we effectively refine the language set without affecting our company’s lean content release model. We believe to have found a way to unify content localization strategies, from marketing and web content to software and help.

Takeaways: Attendees will learn to distinguish between localizing content to fulfill requirements of sim-release vs. localizing content to achieve optimal international customer experience and how our tool gathers readership information and how we use that information to decide what content to refine the language set.
