Bill Lafferty is a solution architect at Memsource, a software company based in Prague, Czech Republic, that provides cloud-based translation technology. Upon graduating with an MS from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, Bill embarked on a career in Japanese-into-English legal translation. He was a professional translator for 17 years, and during that time he also cofounded a translation agency specializing in financial and legal Japanese translation services. Bill is passionate about language, technology and communication. He presents at conferences all over the world and is always looking for opportunities to share ideas and learn more as the localization industry evolves.
