Daniel Finck started his career in game localization as a voice actor during his time in Japan and has since worked in various areas of the field, such as localization engineering and quality assurance. In his role as head of localization at Aeria Games, Daniel is in charge of the effective coordination, budgeting and administration of all internal and external efforts related to the localization of Aeria’s games and associated contents worldwide. Combining his knowledge of these components, Daniel develops and supervises custom-made workflows and software solutions for translation, project management and accounting in interdepartmental and cross-company release contexts. While his primary focus is to make localization processes work for the number-driven and relatively young free-to-play publishing business, his passion for games encourage him to educate stakeholders about return on investment and product quality relationships whenever possible.
