John DeNero is cofounder and chief scientist at Lilt, where he runs the research division. He is also the Giancarlo Teaching Fellow in the electrical engineering and computer science department at UC Berkeley. Prior to founding Lilt, John was a research scientist at Google working on Google Translate. He received a PhD in computer science from UC Berkeley, an MA in philosophy, and BS in mathematical and computational science and symbolic systems from Stanford.
