Lisa McCabe has been in the high-tech industry since the mid-1980s and has held a variety of positions supporting all aspects of the software development process. She is currently program director of the IBM Global Foundations Technology team responsible for IBM’s contributions to the Common Locale Data Repository (CLDR) and International Components for Unicode (ICU) as well as the internationalization of strategic emerging technologies. Lisa is also the product manager for IBM Globalization Pipeline, a service on Bluemix, IBM’s cloud platform-as-a-service. Globalization Pipeline enables application developers to integrate translation into their development and continuous delivery infrastructure. Formerly, Lisa managed localization for IBM’s Analytics division. She lives in the UNESCO town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, a historic sea-bound town with a tremendous cultural pedigree. Lisa maintains a “secret” life in literature and owns and rides her cheval canadien in her spare time.
