Markus Albers is a well-known writer, consultant, and entrepreneur living in Berlin. His roles include executive, director thought leadership at C3 as well as cofounder and partner at Rethink. He publishes a monthly newsletter, “Rethinking“, about the intersection of tech, society, and communication. As a journalist, Markus worked in various editorial and management roles at Brand Eins, Monocle, Vanity Fair, Welt am Sonntag, and SZ-Magazin. His texts have also been published in, among others, Die Zeit, GQ, AD, Spiegel, and Stern. Markus has also written a few nonfiction books: Morgen komm ich später rein, Meconomy, Rethinking Luxury, and Digitale Erschöpfung which have been translated into five languages. He speaks and host workshops based on his books’ topics. Markus is a member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a jury member at Best of Content Marketing Award, a guest lecturer at ESCP and Do-School, and he cochairs the department for Future of Work at the German Association for the Digital Economy. In his agency roles, he has worked for clients such as Volkswagen, PWC, Microsoft, Facebook, Google, Bosch, Vodafone, Lufthansa, RolandBerger, Deutsche Bank, NXP, and Mazars.
