Tomi Fitzsimmons is the senior business program manager accountable for localization and digital production services under the global marketing operations’ marketing service centers at Microsoft. Tomi is currently building enterprise-scale localization services for Microsoft’s bold new OneLoc initiative, which is designed to support the company’s push toward modern marketing. This endeavor involves standardizing tools, processes and methods across Microsoft’s vast and varied marketing teams in a centralized model, thus creating massive operational and cost efficiencies, all while allowing her customers to maximize their marketing results and localization return on investment. After assuming her current role in 2012, Tomi architected and operationalized the first centrally-managed localization and digital operations services at Microsoft, growing the customer portfolio from a single stakeholder to a portfolio of 22 unique, global marketing programs throughout the company. The program’s infrastructure is designed to provide virtually limitless production scale, and includes a services model to support the unique needs and nuances of her customers.
