The Call For Papers for CLIP #2 Is Now Open!
The session will be held on Thursday, October 16, as part of the LocWorld54 Conference in Monterey, California.
Are you a client-side professional with a bold idea to shake up how language challenges are tackled in your organization? Do you have a concept that’s still forming, a method that’s working wonders internally, or a problem that’s itching for an outside-the-box solution?
Then it’s time to take on the CLIP.
What is CLIP? The Client-side Language Innovation Platform (CLIP) is a fast-paced, interactive session where client-side companies share early-stage innovations, conceptual ideas, or new approaches to solving global content, language, and localization challenges. You’ll have just four minutes to pitch your idea to the audience. You can then poll them with up to two questions of your choosing, which help you gather feedback from industry peers. For example:
- Maybe one is about the core problem you’re aiming to solve.
- Or another about where the innovation should go next.
The audience will respond through live polls, and then we continue the interactivity with open-mic questions, providing you with instant, actionable thoughts and insights. You’ll leave with new ideas, validation of your ideas, and possible collaboration leads.
The session will close with a summary of learnings. Participating innovators will have the opportunity to connect with audience members for follow-up sessions if desired.

How to Apply
CLIP is open exclusively to client-side professionals. To submit your idea, fill out the Call for Papers form and share a brief outline of what you want to present and the two questions you’ll ask the audience.
If selected, you’ll pitch live at LocWorld54 Monterey on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

Note: Innovators do not need travel approval to submit an entry to the CLIP. However, upon notification of qualifying for the CLIP, to be held in person in Monterey on October 16th, innovators will need travel approval and to register for LocWorld. If an innovator is unable to attend the final round, they may opt out of this event and forward their proposal for consideration at the next LocWorld.
