The last year has seen the emergence of a new model for translation that is based on close collaboration between linguists and language technology. Called “augmented translation,” it promises to make translators more productive, increase their wages and create new opportunities for them. For language service providers, it offers the opportunities to improve quality while simultaneously decreasing turnaround time and price. In this session, a CSA Research senior analyst will go through each of the technology components of this model, discuss who offers them, how these technologies are converging to build new capabilities and present ways you can start building on the advantages offered by this approach.
