As new features are designed and approved, ensuring global relevance is key to the success of the product as a whole. The complexities of deploying a product globally also involve a fundamental step which is to take into account how the customer will interact with the new features and how to ensure the experience is fully adapted to multiple locales. In this session, we will share how we did just that with our voice command feature. In this initiative, having a localized product that could recognize different languages wasn’t enough. It also had to recognize different accents within a language and ensure that devices worked under varied environmental scenarios and distinct infrastructure. We will also discuss how GoPro’s product development team tapped its globalization team to launch a better localized product around the world.
