Denis Gachot is the chief executive officer of SYSTRAN Software Inc., a California corporation based in San Diego, CA, which has been part of the SYSTRAN Group since 2014. French born, now a US citizen, he has a BA in mechanical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland. Denis started his professional career in the chemical engineering industry in Chicago and worked in the automotive industry in Detroit before joining SYSTRAN. He has witnessed three major technological revolutions in the machine translation industry (rule-based, statistical and neural), and has contributed to make and maintain SYSTRAN a leader in the industry.
