Max Troyer is passionate about preparing future professionals to join the localization industry. He’s a Professor of Professional Practice and Grover Hermann Endowed Chair for the Translation and Localization Management (TLM) program at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS). His courses include Media and Audiovisual Localization, Advanced Media and Audiovisual Localization, Programming for Internationalization and Localization, and Games Localization. He believes in project-based teaching and assessment, and is constantly researching best practices for tools and techniques to incorporate into his program and courses. When not teaching, he is a consultant helping clients automate, reduce costs, and increase efficiencies with their localization processes and workflows.
