Sheila Castilho is an Assistant Professor in the School of Applied Language & Intercultural Studies (SALIS) at Dublin City University. She worked as an Irish Research Council Research Fellow at the Adapt Centre on the DELA Project, on context-aware machine translation evaluation. Her research output includes over 50 publications, covering topics on translation technology, evaluation, and translators’ perception of MT. She has co-edited the book Translation Quality Assessment: From Principles to Practice, and special issues on “Human factors In NMT”, “Translation Automation and Sustainability” and “The Role of Context in MT and Its Evaluation”. Her research interests revolve around context-aware MT, machine and human translation evaluation, usability, translation technologies, and LLM for translation.
