Tom Boerger is a language and culture aficionado who holds a special fascination with Japan and the Japanese language. After years as a Japanese-English translator, he moved into translation management with Sony Computer Entertainment America. Eight years ago he joined Google as a localization program manager. Tom is currently testing program lead on the Google localization team, managing an ever-expanding menu of vendor-supported testing services as well as solving localization quality assurance challenges for products including YouTube, Android, Google Search and Google Maps. He is thankful for the community of localization professionals around the world who make regular simship launches in 80 languages possible!
