In this workshop we will provide attendees with the skills and knowledge needed to assess translation quality using the Multidimensional Quality Metrics (MQM) error typology, with an emphasis on the (Dynamic Quality Framework) DQF subset. The workshop will explain how basic quality management principles apply to assessing translation and defining translation quality. We will cover the following tasks:

  • Identifying the high-level and granular error types you need for specific quality tasks
  • Determining the severity of translation errors
  • Setting up and performing a quality review using the TAUS DQF tools and the MQM Scorecard
  • Interpreting the results of assessments to improve translation quality processes
